Cheese Boureg / Stromboli

This delicious and nostalgic cheese boureg (cheese pie) is made with our low-carb, sugar & gluten free keto Dough Mix with a cheesy center and crispy crust! This recipe brought back the fuzzies and reinforced that a low carb, keto lifestyle is not limiting! Keep your cultural foods in rotation with this better for you option!

What you’ll need*

  • 1 batch of Dough Mix

  • 2 cups of crumbled feta

  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella,

  • Sprinkle of parsley, red pepper flakes & salt

*Note: you can fill with whatever your palate desires!

  • Directions

  1. Prep one batch of Dough Mix as directed on package and & spread it out in a large jelly roll pan.

  2. Cut dough into two equal portions. We eyeball a center and create a line of light borders and slice the sides at an angle into strips that will fold over.

  3. Fill your filling in the center and then begin to layer on the strips from left to right like a braid.

  4. Spray top with an oil and sprinkle sesame seeds. 

  5. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes or until baked to your liking. 

  6. Enjoy!
